James was born in July, 1970 In Jacksosnville, Florida. Soon, thereafter, his family moved to Montana, where he remained until joining the U.S. Army.
James' musical influences range from country classics (he grew up listening to his mother's country music collection), to Benny goodman, Louis Armstrong, Van Halen, and James brown.
For the last 10 years, james has been performing throughout the world with various military bands playing clarinet and guitar.
